AGONIZER To Attempt World Record By Performing 1,400 Meters Underground
July 15, 2007Finnish melodic metallers AGONIZER will make history by performing a CD-release show for their debut album, "Birth / The End", in a world-record depth of 1,400 meters underground. The concert will be available only for a limited audience as a safety measure.
By going through with this performance, AGONIZER will make the Guinness Book of World Records in the "Deepest Concert Underground" category. Breaking the record in the future will be quite difficult because the Pyhäsalmi mine, where the concert will take place, is the deepest in Europe.
After the concert in the mine, AGONIZER will be playing for a larger audience at the nearby Hotel Pyhäsalmi. Tickets for this concert will cost 2 euros.
Formed in 1998 in Pyhäjärvi, Finland, AGONIZER has released five self-produced demos in addition to representing Finland in Wacken Open Air's "Metal Battle" contest in Germany.
Recorded at Astia studio in Lappeenranta, Finland, "Birth / The End" features the following track listing:
01. Prisoner
02. Harmless Hero
03. Everyone of Us
04. Indifferent
05. Prophecy
06. Sleepless
07. Black Sun
08. Birth / The End
